Lisakovsk

Lisakovsk is situated in the north of Kazakhstan. My town is very young, it is 43 years old. If you come to our town, you’ll see that it is little and clean. Its streets are not very long and all of them lead to the centre of my town..

There is an administration building in the centre of our town., where the akym and his vice principles work, solve all the town problems, discussing the successes and failures.

In the centre of Lisakovsk there is a Culture House, where all citizens have rest during the evenings, watch movies and celebrate different holidays. The young people of our town go there to dance.

Next to the culture House there is the post office, where you can buy postcards, envelopes and subscribe to the newspapers and magazines.

A very big attention is paid for children and young people in Lisakovsk because children are the future of our country. They must be educated very well. So, in Lisakovsk there are four kindergartens, six schools, a college and a department of Rydny Industrial Institute. The young people get good knowledge there.

Lisakovsk is famous for its firm “Arai” which produces different types of drinks: lemonade, beer, wine, vodka.. This firm is famous not only in Kazakhstan, but it is known abroad.   

Business plays a very important role in the economy of our town. There are a lot of private shops and different companies here. You needn’t go anywhere to buy something. All you want you can find in Lisakovsk.

In summer there is a town birthday and many guests from different towns and countries come to congratulate Lisakovsk with its birthday.. Every year there is a carnival on town’s birthday. All citizens of Lisakovsk take part in it. All have a rest, enjoy their dancing and singing and in the evening all people gather together to wish their favourite town the best.

All holidays and daily life of town and its population are shown on TV. There is a town station ‘Accent”. Every month there is “A mayor’s hour” on TV, where the akym of Lisakovsk speaks about the economic and social problems of the town. The citizens of Lisakovsk have a very good opportunity to ask questions and get answers from their akym.

I think my town is very good. Ilike my town very much.
